Home: About Me

I am currently in my second year of graduate studies at California State University, Fullerton. For my Master's thesis, I'm working with my advisors Joseph Carlin and Nicole Bonuso to investigate the paleoenvironmental conditions of Los Penasquitos Lagoon (San Diego county) during the late Holocene.

I grew up in small-town southern Vermont, where I graduated from Leland and Gray Union High School in 2012 in the top 10% of my class. Four years later, I completed my undergraduate degree in Geosciences at Smith College in Northampton, MA. During my junior year, I escaped from the snow and spent a semester studying tropical biology in Costa Rica with Organización para Estudios Tropicales. I loved the arid climate of the Palo Verde National Park so much that I decided to apply to graduate schools in California the following autumn.
